![]() ![]() The battle progresses into outer space and, though Ivan consistently has the upper hand, he is destroyed when the Ninja FalconMegazord kicks him into the path of Ryan's Comet which obliterates Ivan on impact. Ivan combines with Hornitor and takes on the Rangers himself. Using these Zords, they are able to destroy Scorpitron, Scorpitron. Ivan then spends his time in the observatory with Goldar watching the destruction his machines wrought on the city.Īfter the Rangers restore their powers on Phaedos, they return to Angel Grove and battle Ivan's machines with their new Ninja Zords. Once the Ecto-Morphicons are completed, he sends them to destroy the city whilst ordering the parents to leap to their doom at the construction site. Their henchmen Goldar and Mordant swears allegiance to Ivan rather than join Rita and Zedd in captivity so Ivan begins brainwashing the parents of Angel Grove into digging up the parts of his Ecto-Morphicons: large insect-like machines similar to the Rangers' Zords. Ooze travels to the moon and deposes both Zedd and Rita, trapping them within a snow-globe to prevent them from stopping his plans. With the destruction of the Command Center, the Rangers lose their powers and go in search of a new power source. Ooze breaches the Command Center's security with ease and demolishes it, severely weakening Alpha and destroying Zordon's time warp and thus causing him to age rapidly. Ivan's hyperlock chamber is unearthed six thousand years later by a construction crew in Angel Grove construction crew so Zordon sends the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers to hide the chamber once more but they are beaten to the scene by Rita Repulsa and Lord Zedd who release Ooze and ask for Zordon's destruction in return. By the time of the Renaissance, he was suffering from a charley horse. Despite being trapped, Ivan was aware of what was going on outside of his prison he would later complain about having missed the Black Plague, the Spanish Inquisition and the Brady Bunch reunion. In addition to his own power, he also had his own batch of enemy foot soldiers and Zord-like constructs. ![]() Hahaha, Goldar.According to Zordon, Ooze "ruled the world with a reign of unparalleled terror" until he was imprisoned in a Hyperlock Chamber by Zordon, Dulcea and the "Order of Meridian". "Uh-oh," says Goldar, leading right back into the Shampoo song. But Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie-kicking the football down the field for the Marvel Cinematic Universe to pick up a couple of decades later-treats us to a mid-credits sequence of Goldar briefly claiming the throne of evil before Rita Repulsa and Lord Zedd walk in. Trouble averted! And you’d think that would the end of it. Thanks to the intervention of the Power Rangers and a nerdy kid named Fred Kelman, the parents do not commit suicide after all. (Fun fact: The key subplot in the Power Rangers movie is about every adult in Angel Grove being hypnotized into mass suicide!) "Leap to our doom," chants the crowd of hypnotized parents as they walk toward a chasm. In the movie, "Trouble" plays over a scene of the kids of Angel Grove partying, secure in the knowledge that their buzzkill parents will soon be dead. With several decades of experience listening to better music-e.g., anything else-it is clearly the worst song on the album. And the decision seems to have paid off, because Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie put a lot of weight behind "Trouble." Back in 1995, this was easily my favorite song on the album. Do you remember Shampoo? They were a part of the Riot Grrl scene of the early '90s, recording songs like "I Love Little Pussy" before they sold their souls to the fucking Power Rangers. ![]()
